Margherita McMahon, Physiotherapist
Margherita is a Physiotherapist with extensive experience in the assessment and provision of Paediatric Physiotherapy services to preschool and school aged children with complex physical and intellectual disabilities.

For over 30 years, she has developed individualised goals and strategies in conjunction with teachers, families and other allied health professionals, and stakeholders, to tailor therapy programs to meet the physical, socio-emotional and learning needs of students in their school, home or community settings.

To promote and develop the children and young people’s well-being, and keep them stimulated and excited with their physiotherapy, Margherita encourages their development under the guise of just having fun.

Key Worker

A Key Worker is an early childhood intervention professional who becomes the main contact for all the family’s needs and is the person you see and talk to the most. They are utilised by families of a child aged 0 to 7 years with difficulties in more than one area of their development.

The Key Worker role can include a Family Services Coordinator component. The role is regularly reviewed and typically transfers to the most appropriate professional in the child's care team as needs change.
A Key worker guides your family and brings the skills of the whole team to build your child’s confidence, and be fully included and engaged in everyday activities, suggesting ideas and approaches that lead to positive outcomes. They are able to equip all significant parties with the skills, tools, and confidence to support your child to push beyond their comfort zones and take on the world around them.
Margherita has been a Key Worker during all of her over 30 years in the Early Childhood sector and will work with you, as part of your child’s team, using her skills and experience in supporting children and their families. She provides therapy support at home and in the community, can develop support plans with you, and arrange for joint visits and services from other professionals.
